The Artist Statement
Everything in existence is bound together by relationships. Random aspects relating to one another can break down and cause discord or unite to create new life. My work, on some level or another, conveys those relationships. When painting in the abstract, I show relationships between different colors, as well as textures. I like to explore the motion, depth and spontaneity of those relationships.
current work
My current focus is on blending painting, drawing and computer generated imagery. By adding layers and fracturing images, I want the viewer to see through various visual relationships. The blending of media and mixing up of figurative representation with abstraction is my attempt to challenge the viewer to search for their own humanity among the clamor of everyday existence.
